About our family

Welcome to our family site!

A little about our family:

  • Patrick is the man of the house, he works as a UXO (Unexploded Ordnance Technician) all around the country. To put it in simple terms he clears old bombing ranges. He also is an Air Force reservist EOD (Explosive ordnance Disposal) technician.

  • Owen is the big boy… now 6 years old. He enjoys riding his bike, exploring the new places we go, home school and annoying his little brother.

  • Grant is the “baby” of the family… now 5 years old. He loves airplanes, museums, hero figurines, exploring new places we visit, dirt and getting Owen in trouble!

  • Jennifer is the brave wife and mommy to this crew. She enjoys traveling, shopping, movies, crafts, blogging, home schooling and cooking.

  • Gypsy… our little pound puppy we picked up in California!

Together as a family we travel the country and more in our 40 foot fifth wheel travel trailer following Patrick as he clears bombing ranges… our next adventure is just a contract away.

It was great to meet you this morning, Jennifer! Kind of a funny way to meet but that’s ok. LOL Camping does have its quirks. I just added our email address to your “Follow” list. Both Bill and I think what you guys are doing is GREAT!! We wish you the best of luck with everything and will follow your blog. We also have a blog that Bill writes about our travels: http://www.bilnkit.com It’s primarily for our family and friends but we also want to have a record of what we’re doing for our later years. Take care, Kathy & Bill

I am so envious! I wanted to do a year, at least, of traveling before we started having kiddos. We’re due next month, our son Oliver. Maybe one day we can find a way to fund out travel around the US if not the World! Many blessing to you and yours! Keep up the good work!

Congrats on the baby! If you can find a way to fund it raising an infant in an RV, traveling around can be done! We did it! 🙂 Best of luck!

It is nice “meet” your family. I am enjoying your blog. I am now almost at the retiree stage of life, we have many years of pleasure of RVing with our kids when they were younger though we never did it for long, our business was not one we could take on the road with us. We are now on the road in Australia 50-80% of the time. We did do an intensive 6 week RV tour of California and Arizona with a peek into Nevada and Utah back when our youngest was just 5 years old. It is a precious family memory that lives in all of us!
Come visit us from time to time to ‘see’ what Australia has to offer! http://robbiebago.blogspot.com.au

Hi Jennifer! I’m visiting from UBP14 and I have to say…as someone who used to travel a TON and wishes she could travel more now (and fellow homeschooler! Whoop!), your blog is so exciting to me! Excited to follow along your journeys! 🙂
